NZ Art

ReFRAMED is a collection of original street and travel photographs taken in New Zealand and overseas. While the work is grouped thematically, the overarching focus is a search for the unique in the ordinary. An intention to reframe my surroundings to capture something new.

The images reflect an obsession with colour, light and form, and a search for juxtaposition and humour in the commonplace. Seeing things in a new way involves bypassing the mind’s default settings to create fresh perspectives. For me, it comes down to being playful and inquisitive, and embracing failure.

The camera inspires me to reframe my immediate surroundings; to replace complacency with curiosity and engagement.
