Author description

Eoin Mclaughlin's While We Can't Hug was nominated for the Carnegie Illustration Medal. Before becoming an author Eoin was a Creative Director at Channel 4, where he once had to bake cookies for the Cookie Monster. His films have been shown at the Cannes International Film Festival and are held in the permanent collection at the MOMA. Eoin's also worked in bookshops and cinemas. He once tried to be a bin man, but he got sent home because he was wearing the wrong shoes. He knows how it feels. Originally from New Ross, he now lives in Mauritius. Guilherme lives in Blumenau, in southern Brazil. In 2010, he won a national contest for new children's book illustrators and has been working with editorial illustrations ever since. After illustrating many books for other authors, Guilherme started writing his own books in 2017. Guilherme's work has been published worldwide and has received various accolades, including the Jabuti Award and the Golden Pinwheel Grand Award. Guilherme continues to seek ways to entertain and delight children through his art and stories.
