This book is not to reflect on the sadness, the tragedy or the devastation of the family feelings at a heart rending time. It is to give an idea of what does happen, how we are able to deal with such a situation initially, and also believe me, to be able to appreciate the joy you can recieve, by being involved in something, that can and will help others to understand. We were fortunate to have the privilege of those first 9 years of Chris's life, as a normal, healthy intelligent son, but more especially, he was given back to us most unexpectedly, to be able to enjoy in a totally different way, for nearly an extra 5 years. We were so fortunate to have this period, where he and his accident taught us all so much (authors comment).
