The events of life have been a great 'school teacher' to me. I never been an intellectual type but rather see myself as having been cut from that practical lump of granite called 'the experience of life'. Near death situations have taught me the preciousness of life, while helping the needy in other lands have taught me the joy of serving others. A Wise man named Jim Elliot once said, " He is no fool who gives what he cannot keep to gain what he cannot lose."

I trust the reader of Beyond Boots and Bullets will enjoy the adventures, travels, work experiences, countries, people, packhorse, and the dearstalking stories that have been part of my life.
